Fraud Alert: Impersonation of Vingroup regarding the Scholarship Program

Recently, the Vingroup Innovation Foundation (VinIF) has received reports regarding fraudulent activities involving individuals impersonating VinIF and Vingroup to scam applicants. These scammers falsely announce acceptance into a non-existent study abroad master’s program, which is not part of VinIF’s official funding initiatives nor the Vingroup Scholarship Program  (as illustrated in the image abow).

In this case, the scammers have falsified the display name of their email to appear as the official VinIF address (scholarship@vinif.org) and VinUniversity website and have used counterfeit logos, signatures, and seals.

To ensure transparency and safeguard applicants, we would like to clarify the following:

1. The Vingroup Scholarship Program or VinUniversity never requests, demands, or suggests that applicants or scholarship recipients pay any fees to participate in its scholarship or funding programs.

2. The Vingroup Scholarship Program communicates exclusively through the following official channels:

📌 Emails are only sent from the program’s official email address: scholarships@vingroup.net. The program does not use any other email addresses, nor does it communicate via Gmail, Yahoo, or other external platforms.

📌 Official website: https://scholarships.vinuni.edu.vn/

3. All official documents issued by the program are standardized and sent exclusively from the official email address.

⚠️ If you come across any suspicious information, please contact the program only through the official channels listed above for verification and support.
