On 24 June 2022, Vingroup hosted a Scholarship Award Ceremony for 30 students of Cohort 2022 to pursue postgraduate studies overseas with total scholarship value reaching up to 48 billion VND and announced the establishment of the Vingroup Global Network of Young Intellectuals.
The Vingroup Science and Technology Scholarship Award Ceremony honors 30 outstanding Vietnamese students in the presence of embassy representatives from the United States, Australia, France, Singapore, etc
To be selected for the Scholarship Program, candidates must go through a highly rigorous application process. After the Initial Application Screening round, the most outstanding candidates will be invited to the Interview round with professors from the Vingroup Scientific Advisory Board and leading professors at renowned universities such as Cornell University, University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign, Johns Hopkins University, Nanyang Technological University, etc. After the interview, shortlisted candidates will apply to the targeted universities and undergo an independent selection round of these universities. Successful candidates in all selection rounds will officially receive the Vingroup Scholarship.
30 Vingroup scholars this year are exceptionally talented in their fields with the most significant achievements out of 500 applicants. They have successfully persuaded the Selection Committee of prestigious universities like Harvard University, Stanford University, University of California – Los Angeles (US), Oxford University (UK), ETH Zurich University (Switzerland), Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), etc.
On this occasion, President of VinUni Dr. Le Mai Lan also announced the establishment of the Vingroup Global Network of Young Intellectuals. This network is expected to bring together more than 130 Vietnamese Master’s and PhD Vingroup Scholars over the years who are currently studying at 35 top universities around the world. Through this network, the members will not only assist each other in both professional and personal life, but also connect to create an academic community that can surpass national boundaries with a focus on building a sustainable foundation for development of Vietnam in the future.
