After the inaugural year of the Vingroup Science and Technology Scholarship Program for Overseas Study for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees, 18 Scholars have been awarded the scholarships and started their graduate degree study in 2019 and 38 more excellent students have been nominated for the Scholarships for 2020.
As Tet is approaching, Vingroup Scholars from different leading universities around the world, their advisors and universities’ leaders have sent their new year wishes back to Vietnam.
We would like to introduce Ms. Phùng Trà My, 2019 Vingroup Scholar currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Data Science at New York University (USA) to give her new year’s wishes.
In 2019, Ngo Huy Quyen, an alumnus of the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School (Class of 2015, specialized in Physics) and alumnus of Nagoya University (Japan) won a Vingroup Scholarship to pursue his Master’s of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. UMich-Ann Arbor ranked 21st and the Mechanical Engineering ranked 8th worldwide according to QS rankings in 2019.
In New Year Eve, Quyen would like to send a message to the applicants of the Scholarship Program: “Please keep your spirit and determination unshaken. With faith, courage and great efforts, you will achieve everything you desire.”
In 2019 University, the first eight Vingroup Scholars have attended the Master’s CRYPTIS Program at Limoges. From France, Dr. Celine Meslier, Vice-President of Limoges, and the Scholars are sending the new year messages to Vietnam.
Master’s CRYPTIS is the first Master’s program in France in the field of cryptology and has always been one of the best-rated cryptology training programs over the past 30 years in the country.
From Monash University, Ms. To Thi Van, a 2019 Vingroup Scholar pursuing her Ph.D. in Immunotherapy and her advisor, Prof. Graham Jenkin, send their Lunar New Year messages to the Program and the prospective applicants.
Monash University is one of the targeted universities of the Vingroup Scholarship Program. It is one of the Group of Eight (Go8) universities in Australia and belongs to the top 1% of the best universities in the world.
