With a mission to find talents who have the ability to lead and advance the development of science and technology in Vietnam in the future, in March 2019, Vingroup announced “The Science and Technology Scholarship Program for Overseas Study for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees”. The program is managed and administered by VinUniversity. For 11 years starting from 2019, Vingroup will offer up to 100 scholarships per year for Master’s and Ph.D. degree programs for talented Vietnamese in the science and technology fields. To date, after more than one year of implementation, the program has selected and awarded the scholarships to more than 70 qualified students to pursue graduate degree programs at more than 20 leading universities in the world. These universities include the University of Oxford, Carnegie Mellon University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, University of California, San Diego, Australian National University, University of Melbourne, Sorbonne University, ect. to name just a few.
During the first week of July, VinUniversity has organized the Orientation and Vingroup Scholarship Award Ceremony for Cohort 2020. The Vingroup Scholarship Program not only provides excellent students with the opportunity to advance their education and research, but also strongly supports their long-term career development goals after they graduate and return to Vietnam. As part of the Orientation, the Scholars met and discussed with leaders of VinUniversity, Vinfast, VinAI and VinBrain about collaboration and research opportunities throughout their studies as well as after graduation.
